Hello! I am Kyle Miller. I graduated in 23' from the University of Alabama in Huntsville where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a minor in Technical Writing. I understand the intricacies of Technical communication and the best ways to develop documents in a clear, concise manner. I can dissect highly technical information to ensure it follows all grammatical rules and abides by any style guide.

My skills as a Creative Writer give me an understanding of how narratives encapture individuals and allow me to create Technical Documentation that is both informative and engaging. When I'm not working, I enjoy a good book, a fun game, or a thrilling movie. I love to write fiction, watch basketball, and hike when the weather permits.

UAH English Department: August 2022 - May 2023

I worked as an intern for the Department Chair and Senior Staff Assistant to assist with any projects they were creating. My duties ranged from document creation to editing. I researched and gathered information that helped with department recruitment. I had clerical duties where I helped develop instructional material for professors. One of the projects was for members of the English Faculty where I anonymized previous student submissions for an assessment of the UX Design program. The internship helped me solidify my foundational skills as a writer to make future endeavors flow smoothly.

Technical Editing Course: January 2022-May 2022

In this course, I worked in an interdisciplinary team with UAH Engineers to edit their Senior Design project documentation. The class was split into three groups, with each group corresponding to a particular part of the engineer's mission. I served as my team's co-lead and would fill in once a week to coordinate my team while the lead attended meetings with the engineers. Our work outside of editing the engineer's projects was crafting a style sheet for them to follow, practicing proper grammatical rules, and understanding the core concepts of technical communication.
